At Patchwork at Homespun we are passionate about contributing and participating in our Community. We are very lucky that our lovely customers feel the same way. Many opportunities come up during the year for us to be involved in community events and fundraising. These are a few of the wonderful causes we have been involved in lately.
Fabric donated to a worthy cause
Patchwork at Homespun donated a lovely pile of fabric to be used by the St Ives Sewing Group to make quilts that will be donated to children in foster care.
Biggest Morning Tea
Monday 16th May, Biggest Morning Tea held at St Columba’s Church, Scarborough by the Monday Patchwork Group. Our 5th event raised $6787.87 for the WA Cancer Council.
We handed over 121 foster quilts to the foster care association and hosted about 120 ladies to morning tea and lunch.
Lots of raffle prizes. 3rd prize in the major raffle won by our Jacqui, 1st prize Susan Hartley, 2nd prize Ann-Marie Anderson-Mayes.
Staff and customers from Patchwork at Homespun came together to donate quilts for the people of Yarloop who were affected by the fires in January 2016. More than 30 quilts were donated. Great effort!
